Matt Hagerty

Managing Director

Bio

Matt Hagerty is the Managing Director of Generation Next Athlete, overseeing combine and business operations, accounting, marketing, and business development. Prior to Generation Next, Hagerty spent 4 years in technology, co-founding and building an online commodity trading firm here in New England. Matt played college sports at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH, where he was a member of the Tennis and Club Hockey team.

Pete Smith

Sr. Director

Pete Smith completed his undergraduate work at the University of Rhode Island, where he was a member of their national championship sailing team, as well as a Team USA medalist in the collegiate keelboat world championship. After college, Peter continued coaching and qualified and competed in the final stage of the US Olympic Trials for the 2000 Games. Peter received his graduate degree from Columbia University in New York, NY. Smith is also the President of the US Performance Academy, a digital independent school for performance athletes based in New London, New Hampshire.

Ben Crowell

Sr. Director

Ben is a former USSA Snowboard National Champion in Half Pipe. He attended Carrabessett Valley Academy in Sugarloaf, Maine and a graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire. Over the years, Ben has mentored and coached several up and coming Snowboard athletes, including athletes in the X-Games.

Ramsey Hoehn

Sr. Director

Ramsey Hoehn is a Director at Generation Next Athlete, managing the company’s Vermont office located in Stowe, VT.  Hoehn is a USA Hockey Certified level 3 coach, spending much of coaching for his son’s Stowe Youth Hockey team. He currently serves as the Head of Racquet Sports at the Hay Harbor Club on Fisher’s Island, in Rhode Island. A graduate of Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH, Hoehn was a four year member of the varsity tennis team at Colby-Sawyer College, playing #1 Singles and Doubles. He was also a member of the Men’s Club Hockey Team.

Clifford Mask

Sr. Hockey Director

Clifford Mask is the Director of Hockey operations for Gen Next Athlete. Mask played college hockey at Plymouth State University, where he was one of the starting goalies for his four years. He grew up in London, Ontario where he played Youth through Junior Hockey, which included stints with the London Nationals and the St. Thomas Stars.

Alex Ortega

Soccer Director

Bio

Alex played Men’s Soccer for 4 years at Colby-Sawyer College. He currently coaches for The Lightning Soccer Club.

Alex Disciscio

Hockey Director

Bio

Alex is a graduate of Keene State College, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Alex played on the Men’s Club Hockey Team while at Keene State. He has extensive experience in creating, planning, and implementing strength and conditioning programs for athletes of all ages.

Elwin McCarthy

Lacrosse Director

Bio
Elwin McCarthy is a native of Duxbury, MA.  Elwin was a dual sport athlete in high school, playing football and lacrosse into college where he attended Nichols College.  During college Elwin began coaching strength and conditioning in his summers off.  After graduating in 2012 with a degree in Business Administration (Management), Elwin has since been working for AT&T Enterprise Solutions.  He coaches high school football at Duxbury High and continues to push for innovative ways to help athletes/coaches take the next step toward their goals in athletics.

Grant Marston

Lacrosse Director

Bio

Grant Marston is a native of Duxbury, MA where he was a 3-time Massachusetts State Champion under coach Chris Sweet, winning 90 consecutive games again interstate foes. Played D1 Lacrosse at Quinnipiac University for 4 years. Currently, he serves as a coach for Laxachusetts traveling across the country to mentor young athletes and assist in recruiting efforts.
